The Community of Agroforestry Systems and Mixed Crops is a thematic social network created in 2023 to contact people interested in these types of production systems. Agroforestry systems integrate trees into agricultural or livestock land, while mixed crops combine two or more agricultural productions in the same space.
The Community is celebrating, as the European Agroforestry Federation (EURAF) has appointed this platform as Spain’s representative in the Federation. The announcement was made during the 7th European Agroforestry Conference, the main agroforestry meeting point in Europe, held every two years and which brought together nearly 400 participants in Brno (Czech Republic).
This Community, which is free to register, currently has 130 members, with a large majority of owners and managers of this type of system. In addition to its functioning as a social network, quarterly webinars are organized to share members, present agroforestry estates, ongoing initiatives, etc. The next webinar will take place on Wednesday 12 June at noon, with access for Community members.
One of the Community’s promoters is LIFE AgroForAdapt, a project coordinated by CTFC and funded by the European Commission.
